S’intitola Electro Melodier il nuovo album dei Son Volt di Jay Farrar, in uscita il 30 luglio su etichetta Trasmit Sounds/Thirty Tigers.
Il titolo del disco è un tributo ai nomi di due leggendari amplificatori per chitarra dei tardi anni ’40 e ’50, simboli del blend di folk, country, blues, soul e rock che da sempre influenzano il sound vintage della band di Jay Farrar.
Oltre a Jay Farrar (presente anche in veste di produttore) alle registrazioni di Electro Melodier hanno contribuito Mark Spencer (piano, organo, acoustic slide, lap steel, backing vocals), Andrew DuPlantis (basso, backing vocals), Chris Frame (chitarra) e Mark Patterson (batteria, percussioni).
