Il leggendario cantautore e performer Paul Simon pubblica il suo quattordicesimo album – In The Blue Light – il 7 settembre. Prodotto da Simon e Roy Halee, che ha lavorato con lui sin dagli anni ’60, il nuovo disco presenta un notevole cast di musicisti che si sono uniti a lui per offrire nuova vita a 10 delle canzoni preferite dall’artista.
Rivisitando il suo repertorio, Simon ha selezionato brani originariamente apparsi su There Goes Rhymin ‘Simon (1973), Still Crazy After All These (1975), One-Trick Pony (1980), Hearts and Bones (1983), The Rhythm of The Saints (1990), You’re The One (2000) e So Beautiful Or So What (2011), rinfrescando e trasformando le composizioni attraverso nuovi arrangiamenti e collaborazioni.
L’uscita di In The Blue Light il 7 settembre coincide con la tappa finale di Homeward Bound – Farewell Tour, che culminerà con la performance finale il 22 settembre al Flushing Meadows Corona Park (NY).
