Due storici album live dei Thin Lizzy vengono ristampati da Universal ed escono il 20 gennaio 2023.
Nel 2023 si celebra il 45° anniversario di uno dei più grandi live album di tutti i tempi, il doppio disco dei Thin Lizzy Live And Dangerous, registrato a Londra e Filadelfia nel 1977 durante i tour di Johnny the Fox e Bad Reputation.
Per celebrare l’anniversario, l’album sarà pubblicato in un box super deluxe di 8 CD con una nuova versione rimasterizzata dell’album originale insieme a tutti i concerti registrati per Live And Dangerous. Questi 6 show a Londra, Toronto e Filadelfia sono stati re-mixati da Ben Findlay dai nastri multi-tracce originali e masterizzati da Andy Pearce, con la supervisione del leggendario chitarrista dei Lizzy Scott Gorham.
Questa nuova edizione super deluxe di Live And Dangerous mette fine ai dubbi secondo cui l’album venne ampiamente sovra-inciso in studio e dimostra che i Thin Lizzy erano una delle migliori live band degli anni ’70.
Il package 12 x 12 include note bio-discografiche arricchite da nuove interviste a cura di Mark Blake e un booklet completo di rare foto e memorabilia.

Life Live, pubblicato originariamente nell’autunno del 1983, fu invece l’ultimo album della band, registrato durante il loro tour di addio all’inizio di quell’anno.
Phil Lynott, il leader dei Thin Lizzy, sentì che era arrivato il momento giusto per sciogliere il gruppo dopo il “Thunder And Lightning” tour e, per celebrare l’occasione, chiamò gli ex chitarristi dei Thin Lizzy Eric Bell (1969-73), Brian Robertson (1974-78) e Gary Moore (1974, 1977 e 1978-79) che si unirono alla band sul palco dell’Hammersmith Odeon di Londra.
Durante l’esecuzione del classico dei Lizzy The Rocker, tutti gli ospiti si unirono ai due chitarristi della band John Sykes e Scott Gorham, per un totale di otto musicisti sul palco. Anche l’ex chitarrista Snowy White (1980-1982) appare nell’album in tre brani, Renegade, Hollywood e Killer On The Loose, registrati nel 1981.
Questa nuova versione è stata rimasterizzata per celebrare il 40° anniversario dell’uscita.
