Maceo Parker pubblicherà il suo nuovo album, il primo in otto anni, nonché il suo esordio per The Funk Garage, sublabel di Mascot Label Group, il prossimo 26 giugno.
Il titolo è Soul Food – Cooking With Maceo, contiene 10 tracce ed è anticipato dal singolo Hard Times.
L’album è caratterizzato da quello che è stato definito un New Orleans flavour, visto che tra le fonti ci sono Dr. John, The Meters, Alen Toussaint, così come anche Prince, Aretha Franklin e il sassofonista di Ray Charles David “Fathead” Newman.
