Il raffinato cantautore e musicista del New Hampshire Ray LaMontagne pubblica Such A Simple Thing, il primo brano tratto dal nuovo album Part of Light che uscirà per RCA Records il 18 maggio. L’album è stato scritto e prodotto da LaMontagne stesso.
Ray LaMontagne, vincitore nel 2011 di un Grammy per il miglior Contemporary Folk Album, ha pubblicato sei album in studio (Trouble, Till The Sun Turns Black, Gossip in the Grain, God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise, Supernova, Ouroboros), 5 dei quali hanno raggiunto la Top 10 della Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart e la Billboard’s Digital Albums chart e ha registrato il sold out in numerose tappe del suo tour negli Stati Uniti. God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise del 2010 si è aggiudicato il Grammy come Best Folk Album e ha ottenuto una nomination nella categoria Song of The Year con Beg, Steal or Borrow. Ogni suo disco degli ultimi 13 anni ha caratteristiche proprie. Ray ha lavorato con produttori come Ethan Johns, Dan Auerbach dei Black Keys e Jim James dei My Morning Jacket.
